Meet The Burnout Professor Erica Cuni

Hi, I’m Erica Cuni, LMFT, CIMPH. A licensed therapist, trauma-informed coach, and neurodivergent woman who’s been there, survived burnout (and a Mack truck), and turned recovery into a roadmap for others.

As a clinical director and trauma-trained therapist with nearly 20 years of experience, I integrate research-backed, nervous-system-based approaches that help you feel the shift, not just talk about it.

I partner with businesses, nonprofits, and leadership teams to create trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming strategies that support real, sustainable change.

Consulting engagements are tailored to your organization’s needs, but often include:

Workplace wellness audits
Leadership training on burnout prevention
Policy review through a nervous system lens
Strategy sessions with key departments
Team workshops focusing on building wellness habits and communication
Concierge consulting for leaders navigating burnout-related crises

Stress Better. Live Better. Feel Better.

A Leader & Professional You Can Trust

Burnout comes for your most productive team members and those who don’t even know they’re running out of gas. A little about me and my professional experience with burnout…

Fastest-Promoted Manager

to lead a multi-million dollar team at a major company because of my team’s sales, customer retention, and relationship-building.

Largest First Sale for a Rookie

in the history of the station when I worked in radio sales.

Recognized by the University

as a professor for how I handled my classes during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, based on my students’ surveys.

Director at Three Organizations

In one of these roles, I proved myself with a 49% productivity increase after 9 months. Then, I was suddenly fired.

Yep, fired. My male colleague said others found me intimidating, and a few months later, I was let go without warning. It made me second-guess everything, including what being an employee with a strong work ethic meant for longevity in my career.

I’ve been on top, working harder every day. And, I’ve been burnt out, overwhelmed, and unsure of my next step. Professional burnout taught me some important lessons, and I incorporate this experience into my burnout consulting for businesses today.

My Approach

Burnout is a physiological, psychological, and systemic issue. As a nervous system-based and trauma-informed therapist, I use an integrative model that blends evidence-based therapy with holistic health insights.

This work is grounded in clinical experience, trauma recovery, and real-world leadership support.

This approach is more than talk, and it’s helped thousands of people. It’s clear, no-fluff, and results-driven.

Key Outcomes

Leaders trained in nervous-system-informed management
Clear metrics for tracking employee stress & well-being
Communication tools that reduce reactivity and increase retention
Processes designed to prevent burnout, not just treat it
A culture where your people feel safe, supported, and seen
