You're here because life looks "good" on the outside, but it feels anything but.

You've tried the self-help books, podcasts, coaching, and all the latest tools. Heck, you've even tried therapy before. And, it works for a little bit. Then something happens, through no fault of your own, and BAM! Whatever you've been working on, went right out the window and you feel like you are back at square one.

  • You notice the overthinking is back in full force.

  • You replay conversations over and over in your mind trying to figure out what you could have said differently to make the outcome different.

  • You feel as if you give, give, and give to those around you and you're getting very little in return.

  • You no longer trust your gut when it comes to making decisions.

  • You don't feel as if you know "you" anymore.

  • You have little to no patience with your loved ones.

  • You don't enjoy life like you used to.

  • You even start to wonder, "is there something wrong with me?"

When you are unable to sustain change, especially the change you desparately want and have worked hard at incorporating into your life, it is usually a sign that you're experiencing the pain of living a life where the traumatic event is behind you, but the trauma symptoms are still front and center.

Your brain and mind can completely forget about something but your body will remember. And that is also why, there are a variety of things that can be traumatic. It's not the event. It's your body's internal reaction.

The key is to understand your nervous system, change your core beliefs, and learn how to build trust with yourself again.

You are allowed to slow down
and speak up for what you need.

Look no further. You've found the place where empowerment happens.
Hi! I'm Erica. I'm the person high-achievers see when they feel like nothing else worked.

I'm a licensed, trauma informed and trauma-trained Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner who's been in the mental health space for nearly two decades. In addition, I'm a former Adjunct lecturer and Clinical Professor.

As I like to put it, "this isn't my first, second, or thirtieth rodeo."

My Approach

Forward- thinking, research-based, and integrative therapy designed to help you get to the root of your trauma.

Known as someone who is "not your typical therapist," I can be direct and yet compassionate, not afraid to talk about the uncomfortable things, address the elephant in the room, all the while showing up as my spitfire, authentic self.

I'm here to help you navigate your life's journey. Because let's face it, you're a human being that has and had lots of life happen.

Sometimes that means humor is part of our work, because when you've experienced the stuff you have...you know a good laugh is how you're able to start talking about it.

Healing(verb):

Healing isn't about learning how to live with the trauma and chronic stress. You've already done that. Healing is about building the capacity to feel stress, joy and inner peace without shutting down or "waiting for the other show to drop."

I truly enjoy working with high-achieving individuals who are motivated for real change - known as post traumatic growth - and are willing to explore other options beyond "talk therapy."

I know from my personal recovery journey how important our relationship is for healing and growth to take place. The research tells us, too. I may have a bunch of textbook knowledge and personal experiences that make me relatable, but you are the expert on your life. Together, we embark on a collaborative journey of embracing your #undeniabletruth so you can own it, speak it and live it.

Yes, trauma and chronic stress changes the brain. But guess what? Therapy changes the brain, too!
